Privacy Policy
An explanation of the personal data involved in reading this publication and communicating with its operator.
Effective
This policy explains how CANBAZ İÇERİK MEDYA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ handles personal data in connection with Metaresults, its independent publishing platform for readers interested in blockchain technology and its wider context.
Who is responsible for your data
CANBAZ İÇERİK MEDYA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ is the controller for personal data it processes for this publication. Our business address is Erenköy Mah. Katipmustafaçelebi Sok. No: 217, Kat: 6, Daire: 1, 34360 Şişli, İstanbul, Türkiye. Corporate registration information appears on the Contact page.
For a privacy question or a request about your personal data, email contact@metaresults.org. This address reaches the publisher. It does not require registration or an online form.
What happens when you read the site
Articles and corporate pages are freely available. The site has no membership, reader accounts, forms, comment submissions, newsletters, audience analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral tracking. The application does not create a visitor database or its own access log. It does not ask for a name, email address, or other personal details as a condition of reading.
Delivering a page still involves personal data. The hosting and network infrastructure receive your internet address, the requested page or asset, request time, response status, and technical information sent by your browser. Depending on your browser and the infrastructure, this can include browser type, language, referring page, and information needed to establish the connection. The providers may keep operational records independently of the application.
The site loads its interface and visual assets from its own domain. Its appearance controls do not create a persistent visitor identifier. The Cookie Policy distinguishes the application's behavior from cookies that the network infrastructure may set.
Information you choose to send
If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message and attachments, and the ordinary delivery information associated with that email. We use this information to read and respond to the subject you raised, consider factual corrections, or handle a privacy or legal request.
Sending an email is voluntary. Please include only information relevant to your message. We do not need unrelated confidential information. If you include another person's personal data, limit it to what is necessary and ensure you have a lawful reason to share it.
We do not publish a correspondent's identity or private message merely because they have contacted us. If publication of a quotation or identifying detail is proposed, its purpose and lawful basis must be addressed separately.
Purposes and legal grounds
Where the European Union General Data Protection Regulation applies, we distinguish the following purposes and grounds. Reading a page is not treated as consent to unrelated processing. The European Commission explains the available legal grounds.
| Purpose | Relevant data | Legal ground |
|---|---|---|
| Deliver pages and maintain reliable access | Network addresses and necessary request information | Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in operating an accessible publication and maintaining the integrity of its infrastructure, balanced against readers' rights. |
| Handle ordinary editorial correspondence | Sender details, message, and relevant attachments | Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence and maintaining accurate editorial content. |
| Respond to applicable data protection obligations | Request details and proportionate identity verification | Article 6(1)(c), where a binding obligation under applicable European Union or Member State law requires the processing. |
| Maintain a necessary record of a resolved matter | Limited correspondence and records relevant to the matter | Article 6(1)(f) for necessary accountability and legal claims, or Article 6(1)(c) where a specific applicable legal obligation requires retention. |
Legitimate interests do not override your fundamental rights. Processing must remain necessary and proportionate to its stated purpose. A different use of information requires its own lawful basis and appropriate notice; we do not turn a reader's message into a marketing list.
Who may receive information
Authorized people acting for the publisher may handle correspondence where needed for their responsibilities. Hosting and email infrastructure are provided by ITENOS GmbH in Germany. Cloudflare is used for the site's network infrastructure and therefore processes requests passing through its network.
Processor arrangements must define permitted purposes, confidentiality, appropriate protection, and any authorized subprocessing. A provider's public policy does not establish that a particular account agreement or configuration has been verified. Information about the provider's own practices appears in ITENOS GmbH's privacy information and Cloudflare's data processing terms.
We do not sell reader data, give sponsors an audience list, or disclose correspondence for advertising targeting. Authorities or other recipients may receive narrowly relevant information when a lawful obligation requires disclosure or disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. The applicable ground and scope must be assessed for the particular disclosure.
Locations and international transfers
The hosting and email location is Germany, while the publisher's business location is Türkiye. Authorized handling of correspondence can take place at the publisher's location. The network provider operates globally; request and cookie information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Hosting in one country does not establish that every recipient or processing activity remains there.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, a transfer outside the European Economic Area must have an applicable Chapter V mechanism, such as a relevant adequacy decision or valid standard contractual clauses with any necessary additional measures. The exact recipient, destination, agreement, and assessment matter. We do not claim that publishing this policy alone supplies those safeguards. The European Commission's international transfer information describes the framework.
You may email us for information about actual transfers and, where applicable, a copy of the safeguards relevant to your data. Confidential details may be removed only where justified without preventing you from understanding the protection provided.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the purpose and the party controlling the record. These are the publisher's retention rules; they are not a statement of an unverified provider setting.
- Ordinary correspondence: six months after the correspondence is closed. We remove messages sooner when they are no longer needed.
- Privacy requests: a limited record of the request, action taken, and response is kept for three years after completion to document how it was handled. Unnecessary attachments and verification material are removed when their purpose ends.
- Operational records: Provider-managed operational records follow the retention periods applicable to the active hosting and network configuration. The application does not create a separate visitor log. A verified account-specific retention schedule is not currently available in this notice; further information can be requested by email. Ask us by email for the currently applicable periods and recipients; this page does not present an unknown provider period as a verified fact.
- Specific legal matters: necessary records may be kept for a longer period where a documented legal obligation or active legal claim requires it. Access is limited, the reason is recorded, and retention ends when that reason no longer applies.
Deletion from active mailboxes and deletion from a provider's disaster recovery copies may follow different cycles. Any such residual copy must remain subject to the applicable agreement and retention schedule. We do not use provider copies as a continuing editorial or advertising database.
Your data protection rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, and subject to the conditions for each right, you may request the following. The European Commission's information for individuals explains these rights.
- Confirmation of processing, access to your personal data, and a copy of it.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erasure when the relevant conditions apply, or restriction of processing in the circumstances provided by law.
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation.
- Portability where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract.
- Withdrawal of consent for any specific processing based on it, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email the publisher with enough detail to identify the matter. We may ask for proportionate additional information if there is reasonable doubt about your identity. We do not request more identification than necessary. We respond without undue delay and within one month of receiving the request. Where necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, this period may be extended by up to two additional months; we explain the extension and its reasons within the first month. Requests are normally free; only the exceptions permitted by applicable law can justify a fee or refusal. See the European Union's guidance on responding to requests.
If we cannot take the requested action, we explain the reasons and available routes for review. You may complain directly to a competent supervisory authority, including in the European Economic Area country of your habitual residence, workplace, or the alleged infringement. You do not need to contact us first. The European Data Protection Board lists supervisory authorities.
Automated processing and advertising
The publisher does not build reader profiles or make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about readers. Network infrastructure may apply automated checks to requests to maintain availability and integrity. Those operational checks are distinct from behavioral advertising or editorial audience measurement.
The publication's revenue comes only from clearly identified sponsor advertising. A sponsor placement is separate from the main content and contains static material only. The application does not embed advertising network scripts, tracking pixels, external media, or click measurement. Opening a sponsor's ordinary link is your choice and takes you to that destination, where its own privacy information applies.
Younger readers
The publication is general educational reading and does not create accounts or collect age details. It does not invite children to submit personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child's personal data has been included in correspondence may email us so that we can assess and address it under applicable law.
Protection and policy updates
Personal data must be handled with access limited to authorized recipients, appropriate confidentiality, and proportionate technical and organizational measures. Where an event affecting personal data requires notification under applicable law, the relevant authority and affected individuals must be informed within the applicable legal time limits. No statement in this policy is a guarantee that an internet transmission can never be affected.
Links to official references are ordinary navigation links. Their destinations receive information when you choose to visit them; they are not embedded tracking tools on this site. This policy applies to the publication and its correspondence, while another website is responsible for its own practices.
Material changes to these practices will be reflected in this policy and its displayed effective date. Any new purpose must be assessed and explained before it begins. For the current policy or a question about a past correspondence record, email contact@metaresults.org.
